To begin, select if this will be a New Quote or Existing Quote.
If this is a new quote, from the drop-down menu, proceed to select the state that the property is located in.
If this is an existing quote, you can search by first and last name or effective date range. Click Start to search. The View Recent Quotes link is also available to show quotes recently completed. Locate the quote based on the search criteria and click on it to proceed.
If this is a new quote, proceed to select the product to be quoted. Click Add Products to Quote.
The first page will be the Named Insured page, this will require the agent code, which should be pre-populated.
Then proceed to enter in the Named Insured’s full name, date of birth and general.
Then enter in the customer’s contact information.
Then proceed to enter in the customer’s mailing address, ensure that all fields with an asterisk (*) are filled in.
You will be prompted to enter how long the insured has lived at their current address.
Lastly, on this page, there is a disclosure for the customer. Since we complete the FCRA statement on all calls, select Yes from the drop-down menu.
To proceed, click the Products button on the bottom right of the screen.
On the Products screen, begin by selecting the effective date of the policy.
Next, indicate if the home is a new purchase.
Confirm the location address.
Then enter the residence type and indicate if it is new construction.
Then indicate if wind coverage should be excluded. NOTE: In this section, you can also click on View on Google Maps to view the property.
The next section are the eligibility questions for the property, select all that apply or select I have verified that NONE of these conditions exist. Then click Continue. NOTE: On the Products page, you can choose to do a full quote or a fast quote. A full quote is required to sell the policy.
Proceed to enter in the Dwelling Coverage amount. The Replacement Cost will be determined by the Replacement Cost Estimator.
Next proceed to enter the property details such as the purchase date and price, the year the home was built and the protection class. If unsure of the protection class, this can be defaulted to 7, and once reports are pulled, it will update.
Next, enter in the information about the structure such as the construction type, exterior type, number of stories, square footage, pools, garage information and information about the roof and substructure.
Next, move on to enter in the interior information, this will include the grade of materials in the bathroom and kitchen as well as the number of bathrooms.
Next, select the cooling/air source as well as the permanent heat source and specify if there is a deck on the property.
Once completed, click on the Household Members button to proceed.
Proceed to enter each household member’s information including their full name, marital status, relationship to the insured, date of birth and gender. To add additional household members, simply click Add More People.
Once completed, click on the Additional Details button to proceed.
Next, there will be some additional home details that will need to be entered including information about prior liability limits, claims, residents, occupancy, and animals on the property.
Then proceed to enter information pertaining to any discounts that the customer may qualify for. These will be based on home features, policies, and customer information. NOTE: Next to each discount, there is a green price tag icon that upon clicking on it will give a description of the discount and what is required to qualify.
Complete the Other Questions section with any additional questions that may relate to the quote.
Next move on by clicking the Coverage/Bill Plans button.
On the Coverages page, this will provide details about the current defaulted coverages. NOTE: Click on Compare Packages to learn more about the different packages that Progressive offers.
Proceed to review property coverages, liability coverages and deductibles and adjust as needed.
Then add any additional coverages or schedule personal property. NOTE: If any adjustments are made on this page, click Recalculate at the bottom of the page to get the updated premium.
This will then bring you to the bill plans, select the respective bill plan.
Then click Portfolio to move to the next screen.
The portfolio will provide the total premium, saving and additional information about the products in offer and discounts. NOTE: Be sure to view the Alerts section to ensure that there are no outstanding tasks.
Click on the Point-of-Sale button to move to the next page.
If not yet completed, order the policy reports by clicking Order Point of Sale. Be sure to review the Important Policy Notes section and enter any required household member details.
Any results will then appear under the Property Claims Returned with CLUE section. This could potentially impact the premium.
Then proceed to click on Final Sale to review the policy information one last time.
Then click on Continue to Application Page. This will populate a new tab in the browser.
On top of the Application page, it will share details of the property.
Proceed to add/update the following information for the application:
Insured Information
Co-Applicant Information
Additional Interest
Underwriting Information
If not selected previously, you will be able to enter information for flood coverage. From here, you can either quote flood or rollover/transfer the customer’s current flood policy.
Proceed to add the Mortgagee Information as well.
Confirm the Billing information by selecting the correct payment plan.
Also, select the Agent Name from the drop-down menu.
Type in the Agent Full Name and Agent License Number. Then select Issue Policy. Select Print App to print the application. Or Save to save the quote to come back to at a later time.
