Gainsco Post-Bind Guide

Policy Issuance

  1. From the Underwrite New Business screen, select Issue Policy to bind the policy.    NOTE: Select Save and Exit to close the quote. 
  2. Once the policy is bound the policy number will be assigned. The application, ID cards, and payment schedule will be available. 
  3. Use e-Signature to complete the application, including signatures for driver exclusion(s) and selection for UM and UIM coverage. 
  4. Coverage verification occurs automatically when clicking the Issue Policy button. Information is checked against a national database of auto insurance carriers. If prior coverage is not found (see below image), proof of prior must be submitted.

Customer eSignature Process

  1. To begin the eSign process, choose Remote Signature.
  2. Proceed to enter the agent and customer email address.
  3. The customer will receive the email in which they will click to begin, once they have reviewed the application, they will click Confirm. 
  4. Then select Done to finalize signatures.
  5. eSignature is complete for an individual when you see Done with a green check mark next to their name.
  6. Choose Review Documents to view signed forms. 
  7. Signed documents will also be emailed to the address(es) used.

Monitor eSignature Report

  1. On GAINSCOconnect.com, under Reports and Output, choose eSignature Report.

    NOTE: e-Signature must be completed within 3 days to avoid adverse policy action such as policy cancellation.
  2. Proceed to enter search criteria. You can search by date, e-Signature status or policy number.
  3. Click Report to obtain results.
  4. The eSignature Report shows the current e-Sign status for all policies listed.

Uploading Documents

  1. Supporting documentation can be uploaded via the Gainsco website. 
    1. These documents are: 
      1. Proof of Prior 
      2. Proof of Not-At-Fault 
      3. Application 
      4. Endorsement 
      5. Insured Auto-Pay Form 
      6. Cancel Request 

IMPORTANT: Gainsco requires that documentation be submitted the same day the policy is written.

  • Binding Confirmation Page

  • Accepted file types: Word documents (Examples: .doc and .docx), PDF, TIFF, GIF, JPG, PNG 
  • A file size limit may apply. 
3.      You will receive a message whether the document was successfully uploaded
