To begin a new quote, upon logging in to the Lemonade website, click Create a Quote.
Next, proceed to enter the customer’s full name. Once completed, click Let’s Do This.
Next, proceed to select the line of business to be quoted. In this process demonstrated, select Renters.
Then click Next.
Next, you will be prompted to enter the customer’s address. The system will confirm the address and pinpoint it on Google Maps.
Once the address is confirmed, click Next.
Next, proceed to indicate if the customer has any fire or burglar alarms. Once this is confirmed, click Next.
Next, confirm if the customer shares their home with any roommates, partner, kids, dogs or cats.
Then click Next. If the customer has any valuable jewelry, cameras, bikes or fine art, select Yes, otherwise select No.
Then click Next.
Next, if the customer has any portable electronics (over $1,500 in total), select Yes. If not, select No. Click Next.
Next, specify if the customer has an active renters policy at the address currently. Then click Next.
Lastly, enter the customer’s email address and date of birth.
Then click Next.
The portal will begin to rate the policy and the following screen will appear.
Once the rating is complete, if additional information is needed, you will be advised, proceed to click Next to complete follow-up questions.
Proceed to answer follow-up questions, then click Next.
You will receive confirmation that the quote is ready.
Click Let’s Go.
You will be presented with:
Confirmation of the address
Annual premium
Any discounts provided to the customer
Start date/ option to change
Button to proceed to make payment
Link to download quote
Next, the coverages included with the policy along with the limits will display.
Click + or – as needed to adjust coverage limits.
Next, any additional options will be provided, click the sliding button next to the option to select it.
Next, the deductible will be displayed, if more than one option is available, select the desired option from the drop-down menu.
There will then be a section that will highlight what is covered under the policy and what will not be covered.
Once all this information is reviewed, proceed to take the payment and confirm the start date one last time.
When ready, click Pay $/ Year.
Proceed to enter payment details and click Pay $/ Year.
No application signature will be required. Customers will receive an email after the policy is bound to activate their account. Upon activating their account, they must accept the Terms of Service.
