Obie Carrier Navigation Guide
- To begin quoting, click the Start New Quote button on the top, right corner.

- From here, you can search for a client in the Obie portal or create a new client.

- If you search, begin entering the customer’s information and any results will appear, simply click on the customer’s information.

- Then click Continue to Quote.

- However, if the customer is not in the Obie portal, click Create a New Client.
- Proceed to enter the customer’s information.
- Then click Save Client.

- Next, proceed to enter the address of the property to be quoted.
- Any matched results will begin to appear in the drop-down.

- Then you will confirm or edit the address.
- Then click Continue.

- Next, confirm the property type. (See options below)
- Then click Continue.


- Proceed to confirm if the owner lives on the property and if the property is a short-term rental.
- Then click Continue.


- There will then be some additional questions about renovations on the home.
- (You can click the purple message box to learn more about what is considered a renovation. See the example below.)
- Then click Continue.


- Next, the replacement cost will be calculated.
- Please note, that Obie uses their tools to calculate this mount.
- Then click Continue.



- Next, some additional statements about the property must be agreed to.
- Then agree to the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
- Click Submit.


- You will then be presented with different levels of coverage plans, and proceed to select the plan that fits the customer’s needs.

- Then proceed to select the effective date and deductible.
- You can also adjust the dwelling limit here as well.

- Then proceed to adjust/ add/ remove any additional coverages such as Loss of Rent, Water Backup, etc.
- Then click Continue.


- Proceed to confirm the Named Insured’s information and from this screen, you can add a co-insured and the mortgagee, if applicable.
- Then click Continue.



- Next, you will be able to review the quote PDF, download it, and view associated forms.
- Once completed, click Continue.



- The last step will be to bind. The customer will be sent a link to sign their documents and make their payment if applicable.
- Simply proceed to enter their email address.
- Click the confirmation box.
- Click Send Binding Link to Client.
