Progressive Post-Bind Guide- Homeowners

Progressive offers a convenient way for customers to electronically sign their property application once they set up their account. Be sure to discuss this with your customers to ensure they understand the process and complete the actions required for their property policy.

NOTE: If the customer has a Personal Auto or Recreational Lines policy, they’re required to complete separate online signatures.

  1. If the customer must accept paperless terms and conditions and e-sign, they will receive the email below as a reminder on day 3 and day 7.
  2. If the customer does not have to accept paperless terms and conditions but must e-sign, they will not receive any other email other than the purchase confirmation email shown in the first step.

If the Customer Needs to Set Up Their Account

This requires the customer to:

  1. Create a user ID and password.
  2. Choose security questions.
  3. Click the box agreeing to online terms and conditions.
  4. Click Create Your Account.

NOTE: The user ID must have at least six characters and can include letters, numbers, and special characters. The password is case sensitive and must have at least eight characters, one letter, and one number or special character.

E-sign Process After the Customer has an Account

  1. Once they’ve logged in, they need to click on their Progressive Home policy number to go to the Manage Policies screen.
  2. From here they can begin the e-sign process by clicking on My Policy.
  3. When they do this, it leads them to their Account Home page.

Completing the e-Sign Application

Their Account Home page allows them to complete the e-sign application.

  1. The customer should review their application. If they click on the Review Your Application link, a PDF of their policy document will be downloaded to their desktop for review.
  2. Next are the special acknowledgements. They’ll need to put their initials in each box to complete the document. Leaving any of the boxes blank will not allow them to finalize the process. If they have questions, refer to their application for full descriptions and information.
  3.  Signing the application is next, the customer should be sure to review and complete by electronically signing at the bottom. They’ll need to type in their full name and click on Sign Now.
  4. Once they’ve completed the e-sign process, the Success screen displays.
